I am Dutch but I live in Japan. The day before Koninginnedag (Dutch Queens Day - It a public holiday in the Netherlands where we celebrate the Queen's mother's birthday and dress up in crazy orange) I was strolling around the house and realized how many typical Dutch items we have in the house...believe it or not, many were given as gifts rather than us buying them ourselves x) so I decided to take some photos. With these I wanted to show the contrast yet connection between the Netherlands and Japan 
The Japanese sandal is called a Geta, and the Dutch, for those who don't know are called Klompen (or Clogs in English)

The concept is awesome and the picture itself seems to give off an almost childish, genuine feeling. Contrast yet connexion, that's exactly it.
It's too bad the reflection of your camera is that obvious at the top of the second sandal... (sandal? tong? shoe?)
